Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes

Based on the 2023 Operational Curriculum, the Master of Architecture Study Program is designed to realize the following learning outcomes:

Knowledge Learning Outcomes

  • Livable Science and Engineering: Mastering science and engineering in the field of architecture and designing urban/residential spaces as livable sustainable built environments, by paying attention to local values in urban contexts
  • Theoretical concept of livability: Mastering the theoretical concepts, research and scientific publications of archipelago, urban and residential architecture as a livable sustainable built environment;

General Skills Learning Outcomes

  • Research and Analysis: Develop logical, critical, and systematic thinking, through scientific research for the development of science, architectural and urban design, as well as the ability to identify problems and offer appropriate solutions based on an understanding of research methods, precedents, theories, and social phenomena, which are analyzed in accordance with scientific principles, procedures, and ethics in the form of theses published in scientific journals that Accredited.
  • Research map development: Identify the scientific field that is the object of research and develop a research map through an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approach
  • Scientific Argument and Disclosure: Preparing ideas, results of thought, and scientific arguments by utilizing various sources of information responsibly to develop science and technology in the field of Architecture and Urban and disseminated to the public;
  • Academic validation: Conducting academic validation based on analytical or experimental studies of information and data to make decisions in solving problems in society or industry for the development of science and technology that pays attention to and applies humanities values.
  • Professional ethics and responsibility: Applying professional ethics, authority, responsibility, rights and obligations of architects to clients and society
  • The role of the architect in the project: Applying the phases in the process and preparation of design documents to the architect profession, as well as the role of an architect in multi-disciplinary collaboration and reconciliation, cost estimation, supervision, to building maintenance and operation
  • Operations and management of Architect practice: Apply the principles, management skills and networks needed in running an architectural consulting firm, such as contracts, financing, business plans, marketing, project acquisitions, general management and data management.

Special Skills Learning Outcomes:

  • Architecture and Urban Planning: Critically evaluate urban plans based on urban planning principles, as well as issues relevant to scientific rules, ordinances and ethics, to be applied in the design of architecture and urban spaces as sustainable built environments that are livable and pay attention to local values
  • Scientific Development: Developing the science of architecture, urban and residential areas that are livable and paying attention to local values through research with a cross-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary approach, which is compiled according to scientific and architectural principles into a thesis that can be accounted for
  • Comprehensive Design of Architecture and Cities: Producing creative designs of livable architecture or urban spaces accompanied by theoretical studies based on the identification of the complexity of problems in a logical-critical-systematic manner to propose innovative solutions and present them in various formats (theses, reports, images, posters and models) independently based on scientific rules, procedures and ethics.
  • Building Codes and Regulations: Producing architectural designs by implementing Building and Environmental Regulations related to public security and safety, rights and obligations
  • Application of digital technology: Producing design alternatives by utilizing various digital technologies in the design process.

Attitude Learning Outcomes:

  • Trikrama: Applying values, norms, academic ethics, and Trikrama.
  • Independence: Applying a responsible attitude to work in their field of expertise independently with an entrepreneurial spirit.
